The Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Zamfara State, Kabiru Garba, has expressed confidence that the party will defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2027 general elections.
Garba stated this while speaking to journalists in Gusau on Friday, saying the ADC had the popularity, strength and unity required to take over the state.
He said the party was gaining popularity among voters, particularly at the grassroots, due to what he described as growing confidence in its manifesto.
“The ADC is capable of winning elections at all political levels in Zamfara, even if we are to cast votes tomorrow,” Garba said.
He said the party was united, organised and prepared for the 2027 elections, with “Zamfara First” as its guiding principle.
Garba urged ADC candidates and supporters to remain focused and peaceful while engaging directly with voters and listening to their concerns.
He also cautioned party officials against insults, provocation and the spread of unverified information.
The ADC chairman said the party would continue to mobilise across the state and defend the mandates of its candidates through lawful means.
