What Cristiano Ronaldo told partner, Georgina Rodriguez after she was body-shamed

Daily Post 1 day 3 mins read

Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner, Georgina Rodriguez, has disclosed what the Portuguese football star privately told her after she was body-shamed on social media.

Ronaldo emphasized that the 32-year-old is the ‘perfect’ woman who does not rely on her appearance and asserted that those who criticize her are merely envious.

Throughout her decade-long relationship with Ronaldo, Miss Rodriguez has established herself as a model, social media influencer, and entrepreneur.

She has featured in her own Netflix series, Soy Georgina, and has recently introduced Mimoa, an activewear brand based in Dubai.

Recently, Rodriguez enjoyed a vacation with Ronaldo in Mallorca, Spain, where she was seen unwinding on a luxurious yacht. She also posted several photos from her trip on Instagram while donning her swimwear. Unfortunately, this led to some users subjecting her to body-shaming on the platform.

In response to her critics, Georgina Rodriguez addressed her 76.9 million followers, stating, “recently, I have encountered various comments regarding some photos of me on a boat.

“Some individuals express opinions about my body, while others come to my defense… I discussed this with Cris and mentioned, ‘I am concerned that they are calling me fat now, as I earn my living based on my image.'”

She revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo responded, “You do not depend on your image. You thrive on who you are. A perfect woman. Beautiful, possessing an incredible physique, a mother, a good person, successful, and someone who embraces life with love. What more could you desire? It is natural for people to feel envy.”

She further confessed, “At times, we all require someone to remind us of what truly matters. Ironically, this occurs every summer. Each year, my body becomes a topic of discussion once more. What is the standard? Who determines what the ‘ideal’ body is? Do we genuinely still believe that happiness is defined by size?

“I engage in training because it brings me joy. My passion for it drives me. That hour spent at the gym is among the highlights of my day. It provides me with health, tranquility, discipline, vitality, and overall wellbeing. For me, it has never been a struggle to shed pounds; rather, it has always been a means of self-care.

“I cherish my curves. I appreciate the liberty to inhabit the body I desire. The body that supports me, that has allowed me to embrace life, create, stumble, and rise again. A body that merits respect, love, and gratitude in all its forms.

“To me, true success has never been about conforming to a standard that no one recalls creating. Genuine success is about living harmoniously. Being surrounded by those I cherish. Enjoying the company of my family and friends. Prioritizing my health. Experiencing joy. Gaining knowledge. Truly living.”

Furthermore, Georgina Rodriguez expressed her desire to set a positive example for her daughters, ensuring they comprehend that an individual’s value is not determined by their appearance or the judgments of others.
