The 2027 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has criticised President Bola Tinubu and his Deputy, Kashim Shettima, for leaving the country without formally transferring power to the next authority.
DAILY POST reports that the president on August 30 embarked on a working vacation in Europe as part of his annual work leave.
Similarly, the Vice President Kashim Shettima, departed Abuja on Saturday to represent the president at the ongoing 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA.
The VP arrived in New York City, United States of America on Sunday and is expected to address the United Nations within the week.
Reacting, Sowore in a post he shared on his official Facebook page on Monday wondered who is now in charge of the government as Tinubu and his vice departed the country without handing over.
The activist wrote, “Tinubu has been away for more than 21 days, allegedly on vacation.
“The VP Kashim Shettima has also left Nigeria for UNGA, with no handover notes in sight. Who is in charge of Nigeria at the moment”?
