Nollywood actress and African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate in Abia State, Doris Ogala, has opened up about her past relationship, failed marriage and the painful personal experiences she endured before venturing into politics.

Speaking on The Clarity Zone podcast hosted by Nedu Wazobia, Ogala was asked who would take on the role of the state’s “first man” if she eventually becomes governor. She revealed that she is currently single.

The actress also disclosed that she was in a relationship with Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, popularly known as Liberation City, between 2017 and 2019.

According to Ogala, she later got married, but the marriage ended in 2022 following a deeply difficult period in her life. She revealed that she suffered more than 10 miscarriages during the marriage.

“I’m single now. I dated Pastor Chris Okafor from 2017 to 2019 and then I got married, but my marriage still crashed in 2022 because I had over 10 miscarriages,” she said.

Ogala became emotional while recounting the experience, giving viewers a glimpse into a painful chapter of her life and the personal struggles she faced before stepping into the political arena.
