Wike, Keyamo, Musa absent as Tinubu presides over FEC meeting in Aso Rock

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and other ministers were absent as President Bola Tinubu presided over the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting on Wednesday.

President Tinubu arrived at the Council Chambers of the State House at noon to preside over the weekly FEC meeting, which had most of the cabinet members in attendance.

However, checks showed that Wike, the Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo, and that of Defence, General Christopher Musa, rtd, were not present at the meeting, a development that has raised serious concerns in political circles.

The meeting, which is the highest decision-making body of the executive, was meant to deliberate on key national issues, including approval of some major infrastructure projects and policy matters.

At the time of filing this report, the Presidency has not given any official reason for the absence of the FCT Minister and others.

Meanwhile, the development has generated massive reactions with many Nigerians asking why Wike and other ministers were absent from such an important meeting.
