Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru says they have whatever it takes to destroy anyone who is trying them.
Governor Nwifuru made this assertion on Wednesday during a political event in Abakaliki, the state capital.
He was responding to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, who on Tuesday, during an interview on Arise Television, described the All Progressives Congress, APC, governors as “politically lazy.”
DAILY POST reports that before Wike’s television interview, the APC governors had kicked against his ‘Rainbow Coalition’ ahead of the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
The APC governors had said they would not participate in, support or endorse any alliance that could undermine President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid or affect APC candidates at any level.
Reacting to Wike, the Ebonyi State Governor said, “This sentiment came out on the grounds that some people are going around saying that they discussed with Mr President that he has given Ebonyi to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
“They also said that the President has given Ebonyi to their leader, Nyesom Wike. We sympathise with them.
“I want to sound this way as your governor that we are not afraid. We have all it takes to destroy whoever is trying us.”
