World Cup 2026: ‘Chaos, red cards’ – Scholes predicts scoreline of Argentina vs England

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Scholes, has predicted the scoreline of Wednesday’s World Cup semi-final fixture between Argentina and England.

Scholes, who insisted that there would be chaos and red cards during the encounter, backed England to beat Argentina 4-3.

He stated this on The Good, The Bat & The Football podcast.

“I think we can beat Argentina and Spain, but I am not sure we can beat France. I think we need Spain to beat France,” Scholes said.

“I think our semi-final is 50-50, a flip of a coin. Maybe Argentina are just favourites because of the experience, but I prefer our squad of players, which even takes into account Lionel Messi.

“I’m going 4-3 to England. It will be chaos – there will be red cards and everything, it will all be going off,” he said.
