World Cup 2026: ‘Despicable woman’ – France’s Mbappe slams Paraguayan senator Celeste Amarilla

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

France captain, Kylian Mbappe, has hit back at Celeste Amarilla after the Paraguayan senator targeted him with a racist attack on social media following the Les Bleus’ World Cup Round of 16 win against Paraguay.

Mbappe, on Monday, called Amarilla, a senator from Paraguay’s Liberal Radical Party, a “despicable woman”.

According to the Real Madrid forward, she is “unworthy” of serving in Paraguay’s Congress.

Recall that Amarilla had, while reacting to a photograph of Mbappe supposedly celebrating in the face of Paraguay goalkeeper Orlando Gill, said, “The brute didn’t even learn to write.

“Instead of mother’s milk, he sucked on coconuts, and the most educated thing he heard were chimpanzees.”

Reacting, Mbappe, in a post on X, wrote, “Madame Celeste Amarilla, you are a despicable woman and unworthy of your position.

“You do not represent Paraguay, that country which has sweated passion and honour throughout the competition.

“I will never allow people like her the freedom to spread their hatred and racism across the world.”
