World Cup 2026: They’ve character – Former France defender Patrice Evra names dark horse

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Former France defender, Patrice Evra, has named Morocco as the dark horse of the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament.

Evra, who spoke ahead of Morocco’s World Cup quarter-final clash with France on Thursday night, insisted that the Atlas Lions have character.

“A dark horse is not always the team with the biggest names,” the former Manchester United star told Stake as quoted by Metro UK.

“Sometimes it is the team that is willing to suffer the most. If I have to pick one from the teams still alive, I like Morocco.

“They have character, they fight, they believe, and nobody enjoys playing against them in knockout football.”
