World Cup 2026: They’ve good chance – John Terry names two countries to win trophy

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Chelsea legend, John Terry, has named France and Spain as the two countries that have a really good chance to win the World Cup this year.

Terry, however, picked France as the number one favourites ahead of England because of the quality of players they have in their squad.

Asked who he feels will lift the World Cup, Terry told TimesLIVE: “I’m going to have to go with France.

“I think their strength in depth and the attacking options they have: Doue, Olise, Mbappe, Dembele, Cherki, it’s endless.

“They are good defensively, their midfield is very good, I think they have such a good squad, and it feels like they are high on confidence at the moment as well.

“They have got PSG players that have just come off the back of a big European win as well.

“I hope I’m wrong, I hope it is England, but I just think France and Spain have a really good chance [to win the World Cup].”
