World Cup 2026: Why we played 1-1 with Morocco – Brazil coach Ancelotti

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Brazil head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has explained why his team played a 1-1 draw with Morocco in their World Cup opener last night.

Morocco took the lead through Ismael Saibari in the first half before Vinicius Junior equalized for Brazil.

Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Ancelotti insisted that his team lost possession and lacked balance against the African giants, especially in the first half.

“I think this match, especially the first half, was very difficult. Because I think the team was a bit too nervous, lost possession a lot, and lacked balance on the field,” Ancelotti said.

“The second half was much better. It was a difficult match, but the team will be better in the next game.”

Brazil’s next fixture is against Haiti on Saturday, while Morocco will face Scotland on Friday.
