World Cup 2026: Zlatan Ibrahimovic rates England’s chances of winning trophy

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Former Sweden striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, believes England has a chance of winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup if captain Harry Kane continues his goalscoring form for the Three Lions.

Ibrahimovic stated this after Kane led England to beat DR Congo 2-1 in the World Cup Round of 32 yesterday.

A brace from Kane ensured Thomas Tuchel’s side eliminated DR Congo from the World Cup to progress to the Round of 16.

“Harry Kane, he did three things. Two goals and one run he did,” Ibrahimovic told Fox Sports.

“We talk about Messi for Argentina, France with Mbappe, but they have other superstars also.

“Sir Harry Kane is England, and the way he performed today, he needs to continue like that if this England is going to have a chance.”
