Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun State, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, has pledged improved welfare and better working conditions for teachers in the state.

Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, made the pledge on Monday in a message to mark the 2026 World Teachers’ Day.

He commended teachers in Ogun State for their dedication to educating young people despite challenges in the profession, stressing they remain central to the development of human capital.

Adeola pledged to support initiatives that would improve teachers’ welfare and create an enabling environment for them to perform effectively, noting that strengthening the teaching profession would contribute to better learning outcomes and a stronger education system in the state.

“Teachers play a critical role in shaping the future of our children and, by extension, the future of Ogun State. Their commitment, patience, and dedication deserve recognition and support.

“On this World Teachers’ Day, I celebrate our teachers and reaffirm my commitment to promoting better welfare, improved working conditions, and opportunities for professional growth,” he said.
