Former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo has backed Alex Iwobi to make more than 130 appearances for the national team.
Iwobi is only the fourth Nigerian player to reach 100 caps.
The Fulham playmaker achieved the landmark in an international friendly against Portugal in June.
He joined Yobo, Vincent Enyeama and Ahmed Musa as the only Nigerian centurions.
Musa currently holds the appearance record with 110 caps.
“I wouldn’t be surprised to see Alex getting to 130 or 130-plus because he’s still very active,” Yobo, who was Nigeria’s first centurion, told ESPN.
“He’s still performing at the highest level. You always pray and hope you don’t get injured because these things can derail you.”
