The President of Yoruba Council Worldwide and Special Adviser to the Osun State Governor on Legislative Matters, His Royal Majesty, Aare Sooko Oladotun Hassan, has condoled with a staff member of Arise Television, Mr. Ozi Okoli, over the death of his father, Elder Noel Uzochukwu Okoli (Iloabuchi).
Hassan, who is also Sooko Agoriesin of Ile-Ife and Aare Yoruba Agbaye, described the death of the octogenarian as a painful loss to the Okoli family, friends and associates who were touched by his life and exemplary character.
In a condolence message made available to journalists, Hassan said the late Elder Okoli lived a fulfilled and honourable life, leaving behind legacies of integrity, discipline, hard work and selfless service.
He noted that attaining the age of 80 was a testimony to God’s grace and mercy, adding that the deceased’s contributions to his family and society would continue to inspire generations.
He said, “I received with deep sadness the news of the passing of Elder Noel Uzochukwu Okoli. On behalf of the Yoruba Council Worldwide and the entire Yoruba people at home and in the diaspora, I extend my sincere condolences to my dear friend, Mr. Ozi Okoli, the entire Okoli family and all those mourning this great loss.
“The passing of a father is one of life’s most painful experiences, but I urge the family to take solace in the remarkable life he lived. His values, kindness, wisdom and commitment to family and community will forever remain a lasting legacy.”
Hassan prayed to God to grant the Okoli family the strength and fortitude to bear the loss, while asking for divine comfort for all those mourning the deceased.
He also urged friends, associates and well-wishers to continue to support the family in prayers as they prepare to give their patriarch a final farewell.
