Victor Osimhen has hit back at critics questioning his recent performances for Galatasaray, DAILY POST reports.
The Nigeria international came under criticism following his displays in Galatasaray’s last two matches against Barcelona and Gençlerbirliği.
Galatasaray suffered a 4-1 defeat to Barcelona before bouncing back with a narrow 1-0 victory over Gençlerbirliği.
However, Osimhen responded to the criticism in impressive fashion on Wednesday night, inspiring the Turkish Super Lig champions to a 4-2 victory over his former club, Lille.
The 27-year-old striker found the back of the net in the keenly contested encounter, and was subsequently named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
Reacting to the criticism, Osimhen insisted that he was unfazed by negative comments, stressing that he was accustomed to overcoming challenges.
“I come from a place where I'm not afraid, I don't fear difficulties. No one can tell me how to sprint, how to play, how to score goals—I already do these things, and that's why I'm one of the world's best strikers,” the forward said in an interview after the game.
