Italy goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, has picked former team mate, Ousmane Dembele to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

In an interview with L’Équipe, Donnarumma expressed his strong support for Dembele.

He spoke about their strong relationship and mutual respect from their time playing together at Paris Saint-Germain.

Dembele and Donnarumma have also faced each other opponents on the international stage, the recent coming on Friday night in the UEFA Nations League.

Donnarumma is now backing the Frenchman to retain the award he won last year.

“For me it’s Ousmane Dembele,” Donnarumma simply said.

Dembele will be fighting for the prize alongside names like Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane and Lionel Messi.
