The buzz ahead of the 2026 Ballon d’Or is set to increase as we come into the month when the awards will be held.

Organizers of the award have already announced a 30-man nominees’ shortlist.

Since that official announcement, the debate over the players who will win has taken over social media.

The truth is that we could see one of the most tightly contested Ballon d’Or voting races in history.

The jury, which is made up of journalists from the top 100 FIFA-ranked countries, have already submitted their votes.

Polymarket have now unveiled the top four favourites ahead of the shortlist announcement.

1. Harry Kane (England/Bayern Munich): 58%

2. Lamine Yamal (Spain/Barcelona): 22%

3. Kylian Mbappe (France/Real Madrid): 9%

4. Lionel Messi (Argentina/Inter Miami): 5%
