2026 World Cup: Lamine Yamal picks team he wants Spain to play in final

Spain winger, Lamine Yamal, has said his dream for the final of the 2026 World Cup, would be to face Argentina.

La Roja are set to face Belgium in a quarter-final clash on Friday night.

On Sunday, Argentina, who are the current champions, will take on Switzerland for a place in the semi-finals.

Yamal has said he wants to play against Lionel Messi in the final and swap shirts with the Inter Miami superstar after the match.

When Yamal was asked which player he would like to swap jerseys with, he replied: “With Messi.”

The Barcelona teenager was then asked who he would like to face if Spain reach the final, to which he responded: “Argentina.”
