2027: Atiku, Amaechi unelectable – Presidency backs Wike

Daily Post about 2 hours 2 mins read

President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has declared that the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate and his running mate, Rotimi Amaechi are unelectable.

Onanuga was reacting to Amaechi’s accusation that Tinubu was responsible for the death of his mother.

The former governor of Rivers State claimed that Tinubu’s tough economic policies made it difficult for him to buy drugs for his mother, a situation that led to her death.

Faulting his claim, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, had called Amaechi a liar who was using his mother’s death to attract public sympathy for ADC.

However, Onanuga said Amaechi has shown how terribly low he can go in politics.

Posting on X, the presidential aide wrote: “Wike lampoons Rotimi Amaechi over Amaechi’s ridiculous claim that President Tinubu’s policies made him unable to buy the drugs to save his old mother.

“Amaechi has shown how terribly low he can go to play his politics. Such a man cannot be entrusted, along with his boss, who has a box full of corruption and money-laundering cases, to pilot the affairs of our country.

“In any way, we need not worry. Amaechi had said that his principal, Atiku Abubakar, is unelectable.”
