2027: ‘He betrayed APGA’ – Anambra govt urges electorate to reject Obi, NDC

The Anambra State Government has urged voters, particularly supporters of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, to reject Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate Peter Obi in the 2027 general election.

The state government made the call in a post on its official X account, managed by the New Media office of Governor Charles Soludo, on Monday.

The government accused Obi, a former governor of the state, of working against APGA since leaving office, while claiming that President Bola Tinubu had supported the party.

In a graphic targeting Obi, the government described him as a “betrayal” to APGA and urged party supporters to defend the party ahead of the 2027 election.

“A betrayal alert for Ndi APGA. Since 2014, Obi has had one mission: to destroy the party that made him,” the government wrote.

“In 2015, while President Tinubu stood with APGA, Obi backed the opposition to bury us,” it said.

“Do not be deceived by a man who abandoned his own house. Anambra is APGA. Ndi APGA, defend your home, resist the NDC.”

Obi, who governed Anambra from 2006 to 2013, is seeking the presidency on the NDC platform in 2027.
