2027: Lagos APC unveils campaign council, names Sanwo-Olu, Fashola, Ambode

2027: Lagos APC unveils campaign council, names Sanwo-Olu, Fashola, Ambode

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, will on Friday formally inaugurate members of its campaign council for the 2027 general elections.

The inauguration is expected to take place at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja, Lagos.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his predecessors, Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode, are among those listed in the campaign structure.

According to a statement released on Thursday and made available to the media by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, KOH, Media Centre, Prince Tajudeen Olusi is listed as Chairman of the Governance Advisory Council, GAC.

Sanwo-Olu is listed as Chairman of the Advisory Council, while Fashola and Ambode are named as Co-Chairmen.

Other members of the advisory structure include the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; and former Minister of Health, Adeleke Mamora.

At the campaign council level, Sanwo-Olu is listed as Chairman, with his deputy, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, as Deputy Chairman.

The Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, is listed as Vice-Chairman I, while Obasa is Vice-Chairman II and APC governorship running mate, Damilola Sonayon James, is Vice-Chairman III.

Former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro is named Director-General, while Rasaq Ajala is Deputy Director-General and Adekunle Olayinka is Campaign Secretary.

According to the statement, the council comprises various directorates and sub-committees covering areas including legal and compliance, party and inter-party affairs, administration and logistics, traditional institutions, diaspora engagement and residents’ associations.
