Rainbow Coalition: It’s going to be a movie – Davido reacts to Wike, APC crisis

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Afrobeat musician Davido has reacted to the ongoing political crisis between the All Progressives Congress, APC, governors and Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

DAILY POST reports that the Progressive Governors Forum, PGF, led by Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, had rejected Nyesom Wike’s Rainbow Coalition.

The coalition is a cross-party political movement supporting President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid for 2027.

Rejecting Wike’s coalition, Hope Uzodimma said APC governors would not support cross-party alliances.

Reacting to the crisis, Davido, who recently visited Wike in Abuja after the Osun governorship election, said the ongoing dispute will be extremely exciting.

Sharing a Wike and Uzodimma video interview on his Instagram story, Davido wrote, “Movie loading.”

Expressing his excitement, the singer accompanied the post with a cup of popcorn.

DAILY POST reports that Wike, who is an official member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is currently serving as FCT minister under the ruling APC administration of President Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu compensated Wike with the ministerial appointment for openly supporting him during the 2023 presidential election against his party’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
