2027: ‘There’s subdued bitterness between Atiku, Obi’ – Keyamo

Daily Post about 2 hours 2 mins read

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has said President Bola Tinubu is not the problem of the presidential candidates of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, and the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi.

Keyamo claimed that Atiku and Obi are struggling with a huge ego battle and subdued bitterness.

He was reacting to the Independence Day broadcasts by Atiku and Obi after Tinubu had addressed the nation.

In his broadcast to mark Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary, Tinubu said Nigeria had passed through its own Red Sea, stressing that prosperity was next.

But Atiku said Tinubu made fake and “Yahoo Yahoo” promises to Nigerians.

However, Keyamo, while posting on X, wrote: “After watching both Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, presidential candidates of the ADC and NDC, respectively, scramble to make their own ‘broadcasts’ yesterday after the President’s speech, I came to one irrefutable conclusion:

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not the problem of these gentlemen. There is a huge ego battle between Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.

“There is also a subdued bitterness between them and their supporters. Since they could not work together despite all entreaties, both men think they have a point to prove to each other, and all their present battles are to prove who the real opposition is to the ruling party and who is entitled to claim the second spot come January 16, 2027.”
