2028 Olympic Games: Withdrawals will not affect Falcons against Comoros – Eguavoen

Daily Post about 4 hours 1 mins read

Super Falcons interim head coach, Augustine Eguavoen has dismissed fears that the withdrawal of key players could impact her side’s performance against Comoros.

The record African champions are preparing for the 2028 Olympic Games qualifier against Comoros.

The two-legged encounter will hold at the Remo Stars Sports Complex, Ikenne.

The likes of Asisat Oshoala, Oluwatosin Demehin, Flourish Sabastine, and Ashleigh Plumptre have all withdrawn from the game.

Eguavoen is, however, confident they can scale through the hurdle despite the absence of the players.

“It is true that we have a number of withdrawals, notably Asisat Oshoala, Ashley Plumptre and Oluwatosin Demehin,” Eguavoen thenff.com.

“However, I have confidence in their replacements as these ones also have the quality and experience to contribute meaningfully to the team’s success against Comoros.”
