2baba’s wife Natasha emerges Edo House of Assembly Minority Leader

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Natasha Osawaru, the wife of singer 2Baba, has emerged as the Edo State House of Assembly minority leader.

The lawmaker representing Egor Constituency was announced as the minority leader during plenary on Monday.

The development follows a comprehensive reshuffle of the Assembly’s principal leadership.

She was elevated under the platform of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, after her defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in May 2026.

Speaking in a statement shared on her Facebook page, she said, “This new responsibility is not a title; it is a trust. Our democracy thrives on rigorous debate, accountability, and the courage to advocate for the ordinary citizen without compromise.”

DAILY POST reports that this came amid her ongoing marital crisis with her husband, singer 2Baba.
