The Accord Party in Ekiti State has restated its support for the presidential ambition of Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim ahead of the 2027 general elections, pledging to mobilise grassroots backing for his candidacy across the state.
The endorsement was made on Thursday during the party’s governorship rally in Ado-Ekiti, which drew party leaders, women groups, youths, and supporters from across the state.
Speaking at the event, the Ekiti State Chairman of the Accord Party, Philip Adeniji, described the gathering as a demonstration of unity and readiness for future elections, reaffirming the party’s backing for Olawepo-Hashim.
“We gathered here today to reaffirm Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as our presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, and we are throwing our full weight behind him,” Adeniji said.
He expressed confidence in the candidate’s ability to offer a new direction for the country, insisting that the party remained committed to his ambition.
Also speaking, the Southwest Coordinator of the Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement, Alhaji Olaniru Abass, said the rally reflected growing acceptance of Olawepo-Hashim’s political message across the region.
According to him, the Accord Party flagbearer possesses the experience and vision needed to lead Nigeria at a critical time.
“Our gathering here today is to reaffirm our support for Hashim as the candidate of the Accord Party. He is the leader many Nigerians are waiting for,” Abass said.
The Ekiti State Women Leader of the party, Funmilayo Adeyeye, pledged continued mobilisation of women across the state in support of the campaign, while urging sustained backing from the party leadership.
Party leader Samuel Abiola said the endorsement reflected members’ confidence in Olawepo-Hashim’s leadership qualities and vision for national unity and development.
The state campaign coordinator, Sunday Dada, added that the mandate given to the candidate would be protected and not compromised.
The rally featured banners and placards as supporters reaffirmed their commitment to the Accord Party and the presidential aspiration of Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim ahead of the 2027 elections.
