Adeleke backed Tinubu even before his election victory – Aide

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

The Osun State Government has urged residents not to feel betrayed by Governor Ademola Adeleke’s endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Speaking on Arise TV, Adeleke’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, said the governor’s support for Tinubu was not a reaction to his recent election victory, noting that the endorsement had been made public long before the poll.

“The endorsement predates this election victory,” Rasheed said.

He explained that Adeleke’s decision was driven by the need to attract more federal projects and development to Osun State.

According to him, ongoing projects such as the Ilesa-Ibadan Road, Osogbo-Ibadan Road and Gbongan-Osogbo Road demonstrate the benefits of the governor’s relationship with the federal government.

Rasheed added that Adeleke’s support for the President is based on what he believes is in the best interest of Osun people.

“Mr Governor is only doing the right thing that is in the best interest of Osun people,” he stated.
