Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has demanded that his team make a good start to their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign, DAILY POST reports.
The three-time African champions will face the Barea of Madagascar and Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau in a double-header this month.
Chelle declared that his team must show strong determination to secure the ticket.
“We have to show everyone from Day One that we want it, and the only way to do that is to go for it with our hearts and refuse to slow down at any point. We must go for the points without any hesitation,” Chelle told theff.com.
Nigeria and Madagascar have met five times in the past, with the Super Eagles securing three wins and Madagascar winning once. The other game ended in a draw.
The Barea edged the Super Eagles 2-0 the last time both teams met in a group-stage match at the 2019 AFCON finals.
