Alexander Iwobi (or simply Alex or Iwobi) has been in the Premier League since 2015. He started his career at Arsenal and won the FA Cup with the club. However, there were a lot of uncertainties about his stay at Arsenal, and despite signing a long-term contract with the club till 2023, he left the club in 2019 and signed for Everton Football Club. Although he was eligible to play for England, Alex pledged his allegiance to Nigeria early in his career. A move which, at the time, could be considered unthoughtful. But Alex has been a straight-up footballer who considers criticism as fuel. When it was announced by Arsene Wenger that he’d be leaving the club in 2018, without his knowledge, he considered it an inspiration to become better.

But much of his stay and performances at Arsenal and Everton were clouded because he had not picked up a consistent form that would make him a Premier League darling. But Everton’s manager at the time, Marco Silver, who currently coaches Fulham Football Club, saw something special in him. So in 2023, he signed for Fulham.

At Fulham now, Alex Iwobi is enjoying his best football as a Premier League player, not only for sealing his place in the first team squad and engineering the team’s midfield, but he is also bagging goals. He has already scored over 18 goals, more than any club he has played for. As it is known, most players across the world aim to play and stay in the Premier League because it is considered the most competitive league in the world. For Alex Iwobi to have remained in the league for the past decade and played at the top level shows how incredible he is as a player.

To highlight Alex’s goals and assists at the club, here is a compilation by the club for you.
