Alleged substance abuse: Emeka Rollas apologises for testifying against Regina Daniels

Daily Post about 1 hour 2 mins read

A former president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Emeka Rollas, has tendered a public apology to actress Regina Daniels and her family for testifying against her during her crisis with Senator Ned Nwoko.

This came almost a year after he testified that Regina abused substances on movie sets.

While claiming that the actress needed help, Emeka, who was the AGN president at the time, named Jide Kosoko, Charles Inojie, Okey Bakassi and other prominent actors who had witnessed Regina abusing drugs.

In response, Regina, who said something was wrong with Emeka, also accused him of financial misconduct.

However, in a new development, Emeka has tendered a public apology to Regina’s family in a post on his Instagram page on Thursday.

While expressing regret over his post, he said: “I regret the timing, the platform and the manner in which I handled it. I made those statements at a time when a family was going through a deeply personal and difficult period. I shouldn’t have taken that path.

“Without excuses or conditions, I sincerely apologise to Mrs. Rita Daniels’ family, Regina Daniels, Senator Ned Nwoko, the AGN Board of Trustees, and all my colleagues whose names I mentioned.”

He noted that he was only human and had made a mistake.
