‘Any man who says he won’t die for his woman is a fool’ — Odumodublvck

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has said any man who claims he would not die for his woman is a “fool.”

The rapper made the statement during an episode of the In Motion Podcast on YouTube, shared on Friday, while discussing his views on relationships and his controversial feud with fellow rapper Blaqbonez.

“Any man wey talk say he no fit die for him woman na fool!” Odumodublvck said.

Explaining his position from a Christian perspective, he said men were expected to love their wives sacrificially, just as Christ loved the church.

“Because me now, I’m a Christian. See, this is my power. And Jesus said, Christ said we should love our wife like Christ loved the church. And what did Christ do for the church? He died for the church,” he said.

The rapper also said he expected to die before his wife because she is younger than him.

“I’m probably going to die before my wife, in Jesus’ name. Amen… Why should my wife die before me? When she’s younger than me? Doesn’t make any sense. I should die before my wife,” he said.

According to him, his wife would take care of their children and continue whatever he had started after his death.

“And when I die, it’s my wife that will now take everything and distribute to my children so there will not be wahala. So it’s my wife that will continue whatever it is that I started,” he said.

Odumodublvck also attributed his attitude towards women and money to his upbringing, saying his mother’s generosity had influenced him.

“Like me now, my mom is a cheerful giver. If you give me one million Naira now, before you know it, I’ve sent it to ten people. I don’t know how to hold money. So my girlfriend will be holding my money for me,” he said.

He compared the importance of women in relationships to the queen in chess, describing the queen as the strongest piece on the board.

“So if you don’t understand the concept of loving a woman and putting a woman where a woman is meant to be. Like if you look at chess, the strongest piece on the board is the queen,” he said.

“If the queen goes, just forget that game. Forget the game. The king is exposed,” he added.

The rapper also addressed the perception that he is a misogynist, describing the label as unfair.

“They think I’m a misogynist,” he said.

Asked whether the perception bothered him, Odumodublvck replied, “It bothers me a lot. A whole lot. Because it’s such an unfair thing to say.”

He then questioned whether someone willing to die for his partner could be described as a misogynist.

“Okay, now I want to die for my girlfriend. Will a misogynist die for his woman?” he asked.
