The National Communications Director of the United Party (UP), Solomon Owusu, has argued that the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, could have avoided his conviction if he had sought the mandatory written approval of the Minister responsible for mining before assigning rights within Akonta Mining 39;s concession.
