The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has departed Abuja for Osun State to attend the party’s final campaign rally ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
Atiku departed Abuja alongside the National Leader of the ADC, David Mark, as the party intensifies its campaign ahead of the poll.
Osun State governorship election is scheduled to hold on August 15, with Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Najeem Salam of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, among the major contenders.
Najeem Salam, the ADC candidate, served as Speaker from 2011 to 2015 and was re-elected in 2017, where he served til 2019.
