Atiku suffering from agitated depression – Keyamo

Daily Post about 2 hours 2 mins read

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo has blasted the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, stating that he is suffering from agitated depression.

Keyamo made the claim in a post on his official X handle on Friday, stating that Atiku was now very pained and bitter because President Bola Tinubu outsmarted him politically.

Keyamo’s remark is coming after Atiku criticised Tinubu’s 30-day petrol price discount.

DAILY POST recalls that the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, had said the Federal Government was offering a discount on petrol dispensed by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, for the next 30 days.

Reacting, Keyamo said, Atiku was angry that Tinubu got the presidency on his first attempt while he (Atiku) had been contesting since 1993.

The minister recalled that both men have been in politics for decades, stressing that when Tinubu was Lagos governor, Atiku was Vice President.

According to him, at that time, Atiku was seen as higher in the political ladder, but Tinubu eventually became President.

The Delta-born politician stated that Atiku’s allies should help him seek mental health support instead of encouraging his outbursts, saying his behaviour could make him lose his remaining supporters as he heads to political oblivion.

“What we are witnessing with all his recent tantrums against Mr President, veiled as opposition heroics, is actually a higher form of depression in the field of mental health called agitated depression.

“It is now very obvious that Atiku Abubakar is a pained and very bitter fellow. The pain and bitterness stems from the fact that he feels President Bola Ahmed Tinubu finally outsmarted him politically to get the most coveted position of President and he can’t mentally deal with this fact,” Keyamo said.
