Espanyol’s sporting director, Monchi has named the player who deserves to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Speaking to the media at a recent event via SPORT, Monchi was asked in depth about several topics in football.
One of the most interesting questions he was faced with was on the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
When asked who he considered the most deserving candidate to win the prestigious award.
Monchi simply said, “It’s complicated. I think there is a case for three or four players who can qualify for it.”
“I do shoot for being Spanish, I think Lamine would deserve it,” he added.
