Ballon d’Or 2026: ‘It’s only fair that he wins it’ – Laporta names award winner

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, has named winger, Lamine Yamal as the player who deserves to win the Ballon d’Or this year.

According to Laporta, it’s only fair that the Spain international wins the Ballon d’Or ahead of other candidates.

Speaking during a recent public appearance, Laporta argued that the 19-year-old had a great season and won the LaLiga and World Cup.

“It’s only fair that he wins it. He’s had a great season and has won some very important titles, such as La Liga and the World Cup.

“He deserves to win the Ballon d’Or,” Laporta said, as quoted by Barca Universal.
