Bandits abduct six women, one man in Sokoto community attack

Suspected bandits have abducted six women and one man during a fresh attack on Isa town in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The incident was disclosed in a post shared on X on Wednesday by security analyst Bakatsine.

According to Bakatsine, the attackers stormed the Herama area of Isa town on Tuesday night and forcefully took away seven residents.

The victims were identified as six women and one man.

Bakatsine said the attack had left residents of the community in fear, as families of the abducted victims awaited news of their loved ones.

“Last night, bandits stormed Isa town in Isa LGA of Sokoto State. During the attack, the attackers abducted seven residents in the Herama area, six women and one man. The incident is another painful reminder of the persistent insecurity facing communities in northwestern Nigeria, with families once again left in fear and uncertainty,” Bakatsine wrote.
