Bandits have reportedly demanded N30 million ransom for the release of six Islamic clerics abducted in Zamfara State.
The clerics were reportedly abducted after attending a special prayer session for President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The claim was made by conflict reporter, D English Alhaji, in a post on Facebook on Tuesday.
He said the six Sheikhs were abducted after attending the prayer session organised by the Director-General of the APC campaign and senator representing Zamfara West, Abdulaziz Yari.
According to him, the bandits are demanding N30 million for the release of the clerics.
“These are the six Sheikhs that were abducted by bandits in Zamfara after attending special prayers session for Tinubu and APC, organised by the DG campaign for APC, Sen. Abdulaziz Yari,” he wrote.
“Bandits are now demanding N30 million ransom for their release.”
