Bandits display kidnapped victims from Niger Mosque [VIDEO]

uspected bandits have released a video of what appears to be a large group of people being held captive by armed men in a forested area in Nigeria.

This came two days after gunmen abducted no fewer than 600 worshippers during Friday prayers at a mosque in Dekera village in Niger State, Nigeria.

The attack comes as Nigeria gets set for its general elections in January 2027.

Residents of Dekera village have reported that gunmen took people away in simultaneous raids on several communities.

Children were seen crying in the video, which was posted on Facebook and WhatsApp and has been circulating widely.

A gunman speaking in the Hausa language spoke directly to families of the captives, telling them to identify their relatives.

“These are all your people,” the gunman said.
