The male housemates in BBNaija Season 11 have claimed their first Thursday wager victory after defeating the female team in a debate contest centred on the age-old “Nature versus Nurture” argument.
The wager task, held on Thursday, required both teams to defend opposing viewpoints.
The BBNaija female housemates argued that nurture plays the dominant role in shaping a person’s character, behaviour and achievements, insisting that upbringing, environment and life experiences are the biggest influences on who people become.
The male housemates, however, maintained that nature is the more decisive factor, arguing that inherited traits and genetics have the greatest impact on an individual’s personality and abilities.
After both teams presented their cases, Big Brother announced the male housemates as winners of the contest.
The win marks the first Thursday wager triumph of the season for the male team and follows a major twist introduced at the start of the show.
Recall During Sunday’s live launch, Big Brother divided the contestants into male and female teams for selected challenges, with wager tasks, arena games and other competitions now contested along gender lines.
Under the new format, both teams must work together to earn rewards while competing for bragging rights, adding another layer of strategy to the race for the ₦160 million grand prize.
