The Standard has been reliably informed that the Gambia’s next international matches , exampl the Afcon 2027 qualifiers next month, would be played at The Independence Stadium.
Equally, Gambian clubs in international competitions would play their home matches at home. According to credible sources , the Gambia Football Federation was informed of this development by Caf yesterday.
Our source said a Caf inspector would be sent to the Stadium for all the next international matches to check the organisational standards of matches upon which , when impressed, a full approval would be granted. “This is a normal process when grounds are being formerly readmitted to Caf approval,”” our source said.
