Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has alleged that he was defrauded after paying $4 million for a property in Lagos that he later discovered had been stolen.
The singer made the claim during an emotional Instagram Live session, where he broke down in tears while appealing for help.
According to Bella Shmurda, the property was sold to him by someone who allegedly had no legal ownership of it.
“Nigeria, I need your help. I’m not doing okay right now. I spent $4 million of my own hard-earned money, only to find out I bought stolen property,” he said.
He further alleged that the individual who sold him the property disappeared after receiving the payment.
“And now the seller has disappeared. Please, help me. Someone step in. I’ve got nothing left.”
The singer said the incident has left him devastated, describing the money as the result of years of hard work.
“I worked for years for this. I can’t lose $4 million like that.” Bella Shmurda added that he has already taken legal steps to address the situation.
“I just contacted my lawyer for further investigation,” he said. The singer did not reveal the identity of the seller or provide additional details about the property during the livestream.
His allegations have not been independently verified, and there has been no official statement from law enforcement authorities or any party linked to the transaction.
