—Lauds Foreign Affairs Minister as ‘Amazon from the East’

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has revealed that Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, was among the prominent figures who stood by his quest to “redeem” Abia long before he became governor, as he celebrated her on her birthday.
The governor said the former Nigerian Ambassador to Spain remained steadfast in supporting his political vision from the days he contested the governorship election on the platform of APGA, describing her loyalty and commitment as exemplary.
In a birthday message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma, Otti extolled the minister as “an Amazon from the East” whose courage, integrity and accomplishments have earned her national and international respect.
He described Odumegwu-Ojukwu as an honest, fearless and accomplished woman who has excelled in public service and remained a positive symbol of womanhood.
“On a day like this, I feel excited to celebrate my sister and friend, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, on the occasion of her birthday. She is a woman of strong will and courage. An Amazon from the East who has distinguished herself in many facets and continues to prove that, with courage and character, nothing is too big for any human being to accomplish,” Otti stated.
The governor also applauded her performance as Minister of Foreign Affairs, noting that despite spending only a few months in office, she had already distinguished herself through dedication and commendable achievements.
He described her as “a huge asset to the Igbo nation, Nigeria and humanity,” urging her to sustain the virtues that have made her one of the country’s most admired public figures.
Otti further assured the minister of his continued support as she pursues greater accomplishments in service to Nigeria.
On behalf of his family, the Abia State Government and the people of the state, the governor wished Ambassador Odumegwu-Ojukwu a happy birthday and prayed for long life, good health and many more years of impactful service.
