Brent crude jumps over 3% after Trump rejects Iran offer

Brent crude jumped more than three percent Monday after Donald Trump rejected an Iranian offer of a seven-day truce that Tehran said would see it reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

The contract climbed 3.1 percent to $107.51 in afternoon Asian trade, while West Texas Intermediate climbed 2.1 percent to $94.32, putting fresh upward pressure on inflation.
