Shooting Stars bowed out of the CAF Confederation Cup after going down to a 2-0 defeat to Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien in Uyo on Sunday.
Salisu Yusuf’s side lost the first preliminary round tie 2-1 on aggregate.
Iyed Belwafi scored both goals for CS Sfaxien.
Belwafi gave the home team the lead four minutes before the half hour mark.
The striker doubled CS Sfaxien’s lead in the 67th minute.
Shooting Stars were unable to get back into the game despite their spirited effort.
Nigeria’s other representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup, El-Kanemi Warriors advanced to the next round following a 3-1 aggregate victory over UDIB of Guinea-Bissau.
El-kanemi Warriors will do battle with Raja Casablanca for a place in the group stage of the competition.
