El-Kanemi Warriors lost 1-0 to UDIB of Guinea-Bissau in the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round tie in Bissau on Sunday night.
The Maiduguri club, however, advanced to the second preliminary round 3-1 on aggregate having won the first leg at home 3-0.
El-Kanemi will now face Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca in the next round.
The first leg will hold at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne between October 16 and 18.
Raja will host the reverse fixture at their home ground in Casablanca between October 23-25.
The overall winners will advance to the money-spinning group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
