Dave Umahi Expresses Confidence In Tinubu Leadership Till 2031

InformationNG about 3 hours 2 mins read

Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has voiced optimism that God will continue guiding President Bola Tinubu in leading Nigeria through to 2031, in order to further drive the country’s development.

Umahi made the remarks on Thursday during an inspection tour of ongoing bridge projects in Lagos State, including the Carter Bridge, whose reconstruction is set to begin next week.

According to the minister, the Tinubu administration would continue to enjoy divine support in tackling the nation’s challenges, particularly insecurity.

He said the same God who brought Tinubu into office would also be there to help resolve the country’s problems, while appealing to Nigerians to support and cooperate with the administration in its efforts to address security concerns nationwide.

He noted that no leader wishes for instability during their time in office, but stressed that any responsible government must confront challenges head-on whenever they arise, adding that this was exactly the approach being taken by the current administration.

Umahi further stated that whether or not the country’s security challenges were politically motivated, he believed Tinubu would be granted the wisdom and strength needed to overcome them, alongside other national issues.

The minister also expressed confidence that the present administration would see through to completion all the projects it had initiated, saying the hands that started the work would also be the ones to finish it, and reiterating the government’s belief that Tinubu’s leadership continued to enjoy divine favour.

Speaking specifically on the Carter Bridge project, Umahi disclosed that its reconstruction was expected to be completed within three years, noting that the project falls within the government’s five-year development plan.
