Afrobeats superstar Davido has released his sixth studio album, ORIADE, marking what he describes as a new chapter in his 15-year music career.
The 13-track project features a blend of African and international artistes, including Leon Thomas, Black Sherif, Aya Nakamura, Mayorkun, Fola, Llona, NO11, JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay.
ORIADE is Davido’s shortest album to date, breaking away from the 17-track format maintained across his previous five studio albums.
The project is also expected to usher in another major phase of the singer’s career, with a world tour set to follow its release and surprise guest appearances anticipated during the concerts.
Davido announced the album’s release date on June 29, revealing that ORIADE would arrive on July 31, 2026.
He made the announcement on social media alongside a video in which he appeared in regal Yoruba attire, accompanied by a Yoruba eulogy reflecting the spirit of the album’s title.
“The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne,” Davido captioned the post.
The album represents his sixth LP and seventh major project since he emerged on Nigeria’s mainstream music scene more than a decade ago.
Davido had previously introduced ORIADE with its first single, I Know Who I Be, featuring South African duo JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay.
The song reflects on his 15-year journey in music and the major milestones recorded throughout his career. Its accompanying video revisits the childhood home where his musical journey began and features appearances from longtime collaborators and members of his team.
His second single, Gimme Dat Ting, featuring NO11, combines Afrobeats and Amapiano, with Davido focusing on themes of confidence, ambition, success and the rewards of his journey.
In a recent interview with American media platform Notion, Davido offered insight into the album, explaining that it contains music intended to appeal to different categories of listeners.
The release also represents a departure from the structure of his previous albums, all of which contained 17 tracks.

Davido has also begun announcing dates for the world tour supporting the album, following the success of his 5IVE tour, which included major stops across five Nigerian cities.
With ORIADE, the award-winning singer appears set to begin another phase of his career while continuing to expand his reach across Africa and the global music scene.
