Ebuka Obi-Uchendu Is Serving Black, White & Pearls for Tonight’s BBNaija Live Eviction Show

Media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu wearing a custom monochrome layered outfit by designer Atafo for the Big Brother Naija Season 11 Sunday live eviction show.

A Sunday night show on Big Brother Naija guarantees you one thing: you are going to see Ebuka Obi-Uchendu step out in style and give us a fashion moment to carry into the new week. This is besides the evictions that may or may not happen, although we have a feeling some housemates will be saying goodbye to Biggie’s house tonight.

But first, can we take a minute, maybe even a few minutes, to take in all the style Ebuka is serving tonight?

For this evening’s Big Brother Naija Season 11 live eviction show, Ebuka has stepped out in a custom look by Nigerian designer Atafo, and it is giving us a very different take on classic tailoring. The outfit starts with a white button-down shirt featuring exaggerated French cuffs, layered underneath a boxy, short-sleeved black button-up. He then takes things into more relaxed territory with wide-leg cropped trousers that fall just below the knee, creating an easy play on proportions.

The styling keeps the black-and-white palette going with white crew socks and classic black leather penny loafers. A slim black tie sits underneath a multi-strand pearl necklace, while thick black-rimmed glasses and a black beret add another layer to the look. And because Ebuka rarely leaves us with just the clothes, a black Louis Vuitton Keepall in Monogram Eclipse canvas completes the look with a travel-inspired finish.

The proportions are what make this outfit particularly interesting. The fitted lines of the shirt and tie are balanced by the wider trousers, while the socks and loafers keep the cropped silhouette intentional. It is a useful reference if you have ever wondered how to style wide-leg trousers with loafers, how to wear cropped trousers with socks, or how to make a black-and-white outfit feel less predictable. The pearl necklace over the tie also offers an easy way to bring jewellery into a traditionally tailored menswear look.

Of course, this is Ebuka we are talking about, so fashion is very much part of the Sunday night viewing experience. Since taking over as the host of Big Brother Naija, he has become closely associated with the show’s fashion moments, with his outfits often giving viewers something else to discuss between nominations, evictions and Biggie’s latest twists. He is back for Season 11, the eleventh edition of the reality show, which premiered in July under the tagline “Show Ya Sef”. This year’s house also takes an upside-down approach to its design, setting the stage for another season of unexpected moments.

So, while we wait to find out who stays and who leaves the Big Brother Naija house tonight, Ebuka has already given us something to take away from the show. And yes, that something is a very good reason to revisit the black-and-white wardrobe sitting in your own closet.
